At Chronicle, we love sharing coffee from around the world. This week, we’re excited to
introduce one of our favorite beans: Guatemala.
Grown in the beautiful mountains of Central America, Guatemalan coffee is known for
its bright and clean flavor. Many Guatemalan coffees offer notes of citrus, chocolate,
and warm spices — but each region has its own unique taste.
One of the reasons Guatemalan coffee is so special is its volcanic soil. The country
has many volcanoes, and the rich, mineral-packed earth helps grow coffee with great
depth and body. It gives the coffee a clean, bold character that many people love.
Also, Guatemala has many famous coffee-growing regions, like Antigua,
Huehuetenango, and Atitlán. Each area has its own climate, altitude, and flavor profile
— so Guatemalan coffee can be fruity, nutty, spicy, or sweet, depending on where it’s
from.
Our Guatemala beans come from a region known for smooth and balanced flavors. We
roast them light to keep their natural brightness. In our roastery, you can taste notes of
peanut, cinnamon, pear, and raisin. It’s a warm and comforting cup — soft, sweet,
and full of character.
We usually serve it as a pour over, which brings out all the subtle flavors. Pour over
coffee is clean and gentle — perfect for slow mornings or relaxing afternoons.
If you’re curious about something new — or just want a cup that feels cozy and a little
different — we hope you’ll try our Guatemala coffee.
Our baristas are always happy to talk coffee and help you find your favorite!
