At our roastery in Canada, we’re always searching for unique and high-quality beans. One of the most exciting coffees we’re roasting now is Chiroso – a rare and flavorful variety from Colombia.
What is Chiroso?
Chiroso is a unique coffee variety that was first discovered in Antioquia, Colombia. It is believed to be a natural mutation of the Ethiopian landrace varieties. What makes Chiroso special is its high cup complexity, with floral and fruit-forward flavors, and often a tea-like body. It’s known for producing clean, vibrant, and expressive cups.
Depending on where it’s grown and how it’s processed, Chiroso can show a wide range of flavors – from tropical fruits to florals to citrus.
Our Chiroso: Watermelon, Raspberry, and Mint
At our roastery, we carefully sourced a beautiful Chiroso lot that is bursting with watermelon, raspberry, and mint notes. These are the unique flavor notes you’ll only find in our version of Chiroso. We roast it to highlight its clean sweetness and refreshing acidity, and we serve it exclusively at our own café – like a coffee showroom.
